This is a incredible opportunity for a site visit of the HS2 project, to hear direct from the project team on their disciplines and engage with the recruitment team on the opportunities available.

BuildForce is delighted to announce the final of their 2025 Inter-Corps Boxing competition, hosted by 27 Regiment RLC, to raise awareness of the benefits between sport and wellbeing.

We have announced our schedule of Virtual Career Chats we are running throughout 2023. Our next few events include:

  • HR: Recruitment and D,E&I with Kier and AWE – Join us to hear from Veterans who have transitioned in HR roles as Recruitment Leads and D,E&I Managers, sharing their journey to careers with Kier and AWE on 16th January 2025, 12pm.
  • Employer Career Chat: Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV) – Join us to hear from Balfour Beatty Vinci. This virtual event is explores the JV delivery a portion of the HS2 project, on 6th February 2025, 12pm
  • NEC (New Engineering Contract)  – Join us to hear from Veterans within Aecom and AtkinsRealis, discussing this form of contract, on 20th February 2025, 12pm

Transition from the military to a rewarding career in construction

As the original pioneers, BuildForce is the construction industry’s largest and most successful nationwide career programme supporting thousands of our ex-military community, into long-term trade and professional careers within the construction industry and wider built environment.

We are the ex-military partner of the sector’s largest contractors, consultants, SME’s and are the partner championing our ex-military on the UK’s largest infrastructure projects across rail, road, nuclear and defence. Our employer’s cover: construction, homebuilding, infrastructure, logistics, utilities, security, engineering, data centres, digital, defence and facilities management.

BuildForce is nationwide and offers a compliment of services focused on pre-employment, employment, education, mental health and after-care, to support our Service Leavers, Veterans, Reservists and military families, as they transition from their military career to a construction civilian career.

 

According to government figures

An extra 225,000 construction workers may be needed by 2027, according to the latest Construction Skills Network (CSN) report.

All nine English regions, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are set to experience growth.

There will be 2.67 million workers in construction industry by 2027 if projected growth is met.

A professional career in construction is accessible to all military ranks and skillsets, and offers immense career satisfaction in a challenging and dynamic sector.
